MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Your teacher, Chef Gregory Light is an award winning chef, bartender, and world traveler with over a decade of experience in the fine dining and hospitality industry.

A top-of-his-class graduate of the prestigious Cordon Bleu Institute in Paris, he was the recipient of three distinguished degrees: one in cuisine, one in pastry, and one in culinary management.

Chef Light began his kitchen career working hand and hand with the best chefs in Italy at the 3-Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana - former best restaurant in the World, ranked one of the top 5 restaurants of all time by World's 50 Best. This game-changing restaurant is featured on the very first episode of Netflix's "Chef's Table".

His next move was to California, where he joined Chef Jonny Black during the opening of his flagship restaurant Chez Noir. With many long hours and much hard work, the team at Chez Noir earned its first Michelin star less than 10 months after opening. Esquire Magazine listed it among the best new restaurants of 2023 and the ball is still rolling with many accolades to come.
Always striving to learn, Chef Light's cooking journey includes many more steps along the way. Bolstered by his love of travel, he set out to train with chefs all over the world, in countries such as France, England, Mexico, Greece, and Sri Lanka. His cuisine is inspired by the flavors and stories all of these cultures, while remaining true to location and season.

With the opening of Lighthouse Kitchen, Chef Light is embarking out on his own to combine his love of cooking with his passion for connecting with people and the world. Join him in Sedona for private or group cooking lessons, or check out his YouTube channel to follow his adventures and learn from the comfort of your home.
